Hauls from TaoBao ❤

Decided to share some stuff I bought from TaoBao last month! Went through an agent in Lowyat.net and it arrived safely on my doorsteps. The prices are in RMB (Chinese Yuan), so it's about half price (≧∇≦)/

Both bags are at RMB59.90 so it's about RM30 each? I love the quality as it's durable and thick enough for me to throw my stuff in it. I always have heavy bags... (^^ゞ

Though one bad thing is that the inner compartment of the bag smells fishy...really! Had to put it out in the sun for a few days n spray some perfume. But other than that I really love the bags because it's fashionable and I don't see these bags in KL (◕‿◕✿)

Its pretty hard to find nice covers for Samsung Galaxy Ace here in Malaysia so I ordered this cute bunny cover at RMB15.80 (About RM8)

Even so, I still have to pay for agent fees and shipping fess (to China and Malaysia). So it definitely costs more than the original price of the items. TaoBao is a great place to buy stuff if you know how to read mandarin :)

Chinese New Year Decorations @ Pavilion

Headed to Pavilion this morning with my mom for CNY shopping and to also check out the CNY decorations! Coincidentally, Pavilion was launching the Majestic Dragon Festival and we got to catch the dragon and lion dance performances d(-_^)

What Women Want

Was invited to the Capital FM launch at Lot 10 last month. I couldn't make it for the official launch in the evening due to work so I dropped by in the morning to check out their activities. They were preparing the final set up and rehearsals for the launch when I got there. Freebies were given out to people too. Have been listening to Capital FM for a few times and I quite like their content and some of their old school music :)

Pop up stores and banners were placed outside to promote the radio station. There was free airbrush tattoo, hair makeover by Snips, free makeup by Sasa and many more! Had my free makeup done at Sasa and tried on some fake lashes which felt like my lids weigh a ton...haha. Guessed I'm not used to this.. I prefer just my concealer and eyeliner. Heh ヾ(^ ^ゞ

Comic Fiesta 2011

Attended the 2nd day of Comic Fiesta at KLCC last week with a few of my friends. It was my first time attending the event and I was pretty amazed :D

There were many activities on that day such as song performances, merchandise and art works!
How I wish I can draw well but I can't :(

The highlight of comic fiesta are definitely the cosplayers!

There are too many anime characters which I don't recognize. My knowledge of anime is like a size of a pea T_T

The kimono is gorgeous!
I love all the outfit details and the time and effort these cosplayers take for their role.

This little girl is so adorable! Everyone kept snapping pictures of her :)

Dreamz Bakery @ The Strand, Kota Damansara

Was at Kota Damansara shopping the other day and decided to check out Dreamz Bakery as I've heard about the place before. Dreamz Bakery is located on the first floor...was figuring out how to enter the bakery because there wasn't a clear sign. Luckily there was someone at the door that time and we managed to confirm the location ^^

Took the lift upstairs and we arrived at this cosy and cute bakery! You have to remove your shoes :)

I think it's actually Mille Crepe but they named it layer cake...hehe. Love the smooth texture and it's not too sweet! Better than most mille crepe that I've tried before :)

Aladdin the Musical @ Sunway Lagoon Amphitheatre

From going to behind the scenes a few weeks back, I finally got to watch Aladdin the Musical on 2nd December! Brought the parents along :) Thanks again to Avante and Sunway Lagoon for the invites!

Decided the park at Sunway Hotel but the parking was full and we were stuck in the parking lot for 30 mins. Finally found a parking outdoor even though it was still raining. Luckily we arrived just before the show was about to start!

Aladdin the Musical does not follow the original script from Disney but the West End producers managed to tweak it to be an entertaining show :)

Overall, the show was alright but there can be improvements such as the sound system. There were echoes and sometimes I can't really hear the dialogue clearly. Some scenes seemed quite rush which affects the flow of the story.

I enjoyed the music nonetheless and the genie was funny. It was cute to see the chickens running in the Marketplace scence. Hopefully Sunway Lagoon will be able to produce better shows next time!

The bloggers had a gathering again at Coffee Chemistry Signature at First Subang Mall. Since it's near my place and I'm on holidays now, what's the reason not to go? :) Thanks to Henry Lee for organizing it!

While waiting for the others to arrive, we were given a tour into the kitchen by the owners, Johnson and Ryan :)

It's really clean and there's air-cond in the kitchen too!

I couldn't attend the one at The Bee due to assignments but I made it for the second one :D
Went off for dinner and came back when the first bank was playing.

Exclusive Behind The Scenes of Aladdin the Musical!

Last week, a bunch of bloggers were invited to the exclusive behind the scenes preview of Aladdin the Musical thanks to Avante and Sunway Lagoon. I trust that most of you would know Aladdin as the fairytale story during childhood?

We were ushered into the practice room located in the Amphitheatre itself to get a glimpse of Aladdin the Musical :D

The producers chose a few scenes for us to preview and I was amazed by all the actors and dancers dedication! They all did really well considering the fact that they only practiced for about two weeks. Professionals! ;)

Durex One Voice Campaign Roadshow & Contest!

"The government has recently announced that between 2006 and 2010, there were 21 recorded cases of students who got pregnant out of marriage. Statistics from the Welfare Department revealed that this year, from January to April, 111 young girls were pregnant."

In Asia, the subject about sex is mostly a taboo. We are hardly exposed to sex education in school or even at home. Sometimes, this leads to irresponsible and unprotected sex.

Durex, the world’s largest selling condom brand, organised a sexual and reproductive healthcollege programme to create awareness about sexual health andcontraceptive options that leads them to make informed decisions.

Organized in 5 different colleges across Malaysia, the Durex ‘One Voice, Prevention is Key’ road show programme was held throughout November at Taylors Lakeside Campus, Universiti Technologi Mara Shah Alam, Raffles College, INTI International University, Nilai and IACT College.

Durex’s main aim is to not only empower youths to create awareness about sexual health and contraceptive options, but also to break the taboo around the issue, to make people more comfortable about the topic. When youths are given the privilege to access such initiatives, this will further help youths make informed choices that help them in every aspect of their lives.

During the college programme, informational walls are to be placed that contains ‘Did you know…?’ facts on sex and interactive storytelling depicted through pictures.

Not everyone is comfortable about sex related subjects but these posters and informational banners help to expose students about these matters such as sexual reproductive health and breaking the barriers on the subject of sex.

Although the annual number of reported HIV/AIDS cases have decreased in 2002 to 2009,sexually transmitted disease (STD) are serious issues that needs to be taken care of! Not only HIV/AIDS but also STDs such as Herpes, Syphilis, Chalamydia can harm you!

This is why the Durex One Voice Campaign on sexual and reproductive health is a positive step in reaching out to youths. This allows them to express their views on safe sex and facilitates open conversations about sexual health.

Using contraceptives helps to prevent unwanted pregnancy as unwanted pregnancy is one of the leading causes of baby dumping cases in Malaysia.

Create a poster, draw a picture, sculpt a design or demonstrate your skills in photography, the choice is in your hands :)

Walked around One Utama after dinner and found this new place called Hokkaido Ichiba in the Old Wing. There's a lot of construction going on at the Old Wing of One Utama and therefore this place is quite hard to locate at the moment.

Decided to try out their desserts after looking at the menu :P

The portion is quite small but the waffle and ice cream taste good nonetheless :)

Was invited to the launch of Wacoal 2011 Pink Ribbon Campaign on 1st October.

The Pink Ribbon Campaign is to help spread awareness on early detection of breast cancer as breast cancer is one of the major killer of women in Malaysia! Wacoal invited two celebrities, Elaine Daly and Debbie Goh to launch the campaign.

Besides the launch, the two day event is also filled with fun activities and also complimentary breast checkup from Assunta Hospital.

Finish the activity from the card and you'll get some gifts! I must say that the event was really helpful for those who wants to know more about breast cancer.

Remamma is a brand under Wacoal specially designed for breast cancer patients who have gone through breast removal surgery. Wacoal will provide unique services on prosthesis and special brassieres.

An Experiential Discovery with Rexona

In order to raise awareness of one's personal care regime, Rexona invited us to their 'Don't Sweat It with Rexona' themed event. It was to reveal the five causes of sweat and break myths about body odour!

Although most of us are sitting in air-conditioned places most of the time, it doesn't mean we don't sweat!
Rexona prepared some activities for us to experience the causes of sweat :)

Chose bowling as the game of choice and I was pretty good at it even though I suck in reality.... *cough*

The lights surrounding us were hot! Started sweating after a while...

Sometimes the rain just make the weather hotter :(

Some people sweat when they get nervous etc.. with that, Rexona presented us with the screening of Dream House :)

By the looks of the poster, it seems like horror movie but it's not. The concept is similar to Shutter Island but with more twist. I enjoyed the movie thoroughly! Some parts were quite touching as well... I rate this movie 7/10 :D

This is Clinique's 2nd year partnership with Cleo Malaysia which allows the winner to appear on the cover of the magazine. Heard Sharmayne talked about wanting to go to Huck's Cafe for some time and so we decided to try out the place for ourselves! Made reservations on a Sunday night and off we go! Since it's our first time there, we had a pretty hard time finding the place because we were not really sure of the location. Little did we know, we actually found the place but we went in circles for about 30 mins as there is no signboard. It's actually located in the housing area. This is what happens when you don't know roads =.=

Went in and was greeted by the lovely and spacious atmosphere. We were seated on the floor.

Huck's Cafe serves about 20 pax per day. It's a private kitchen which is pleasant since its concept is home cooked food :)

Booking must be made at least one or two weeks in advance to be safe. The earlier the better :) They don't take walk-ins. Menu must also be chosen beforehand as they shop for fresh ingredients everyday.

But Huck's didn't manage to get our chosen menu due to miscommunication. So instead he gave us a surprise!

Basil Seed Mint Soda
The first drink to be served after we arrived. It's pretty refreshing :)

Serewak Acar

Drinks and appetizer is served for the group. Whereas the rest it based on individual orders.

Pumpkin Soup
This is one of the yummiest pumpkin soup that I've tasted so far :)

Wild Mushroom Soup
I ordered the mushroom soup but I liked the pumpkin soup better. The wild mushroom soup was pretty disappointing though.

The meals take time to come so you must be prepared to be patient :)

Now, to the main course. Each dish was shared among 5 of us as it can get pretty filling/boring to eat just only one dish right?

Cottage Lamb Stew Pie
The tender and juicy lamb is cooked just right. According to Amelia, it can be pretty salty after awhile so it's good to share this dish :)

Grilled Salmon Garlic Asparagus Lime Rice with Orange Butter Sauce
Lovely combination especially with the fresh salmon!

Huck Lemon Roast Chicken
The chicken was slightly dry but the potatoes are lovely. haha.

Wild Rocket Chili Chicken Spaghetti
We got amused by the name of the dish at first. The leafy greens is actually a herb called Wild Rocket. Learnt something new :)

Seafood Risotto Party Mix ft NZ Mussels
Fresh seafood but I didn't try much because I was already stuffed by the end of the meal.

Forgotten what is this drink called but its pear and sour plum if I remember correctly.
Great drink to suppress the bloated feeling after the main course and also make space for dessert! :D

Durian Mud Pie Ice Cream
Normally I do not fancy other dessert created from durian but this durian ice cream is exceptional. It is a definite MUST try!

Did not try this but Charles said it's good as well.

My favourite creme brulee, so so awesome and sinful!

After dessert, you can have tea or coffee.

Chatted with the owner Huck Seng for a while and he brought us to tour around the cafe. Fell in love with the outdoor garden setting!

Dinner is at RM88 per person. The main course was alright but maybe we had high expectations so we were a little let down. BUT the dessert was definitely worth it. My friends described it as gastronomic. LOL.

Another thing I enjoyed is the private atmosphere at Huck's Cafe where different dining rooms allocated for you to have a great time with your friends compared to the usual noisy restaurants. Can't wait to head back to Huck's Cafe soon :D

Glam up @ Clinique Star Tour 2011!

Thanks to Avante and Clinique, I was invited to get a makeover at Clinique Star Tour during their stop at Sunway Pyramid earlier this month.

I was there at 11am and was surprised to some changes at the Clinique Star Tour this year! The space in the mobile truck is bigger and there is more makeup counter this year :)

First thing they will do is to tone and moisturize your face. There's no need to wear any makeup since you're getting a makeover!

Different types of foundation to suit the skin tone. Instead of choosing from 2 different looks like last year, this year's Clinique Star Tour makeover focuses on a more natural and fresh makeup to suit our skin.

Urbanscapes this year is held in Padang Astaka as compared to previous years at KLPAC. This would be my 4th Urbanscapes festival I have been to :)

Thanks to Junk, I won tickets for Urbanscapes this year. Brought Amelia along and we managed to find a parking spot inside! :D Girls being girls, the first spot we headed to was of course the Marketplace. Spent RM50 on 2 dresses :)

Magical Musical @ Amphitheater, Sunway Lagoon

Thanks to Avante, I got invited to catch Magical Musical at the Amphitheater in Sunway Lagoon yesterday.

Before that, I attended Avante's tea party at Avanti Italian Restaurant in Sunway Resort as they were celebrating their 1 year anniversary :)

After tea, we headed off to the Amiphitheather as the musical starts at 7pm.

Father's Day Dinner @ Ben's, Pavilion KL

Treated my parents dinner at Ben's in Pavilion on Father's Day.

Pretty cosy environment.

Deconstructed Thai Beef Salad, RM26.90
A pretty decent portion for starters which is refreshing and not too filling to proceed to the main course. Love the sweet & sour sauce which opens up your appetite.

Basil Pesto Spaghettini, RM18.90
The basil sauce is definitely yummy but can be quite filling after a while.

Beef Lasagne, RM18.90
It doesn't look that good in this picture but it's mouthwatering with the tasty cheese and fresh tomato sauce.

After meal, it's time for dessert!

Macadamia Cheesecake Sundae, RM10.90
This would be a good dessert to be shared as it can get pretty filling with the amount of cheesecake given. It would be perfect if they gave more vanilla ice cream :)

Lemon Meringue Cake, RM9.90
The sour taste is not too overpowering which is good for after meals. It somehow suppresses the feeling of being bloated and full :)

Found a recipe in a stack of cards on the card holder. Might make this for the weekends next time :D

Overall, Ben's provides a new variety and refreshing food in their menu. The food is nice and I guess this would be one of my frequent food joints to visit in the future. But the staff service can be improved as their service are quite slow sometimes.

On a side note, crossed over to Sephora to have a look but it was quite a let down as the space is pretty small although the architecture looks nice on the outside. The one in Singapore is so much bigger and I guess they didn't bring in all the brands to Msia.

Veet Suprem Essence Hair Removal Cream is quick and easy to use. Squeeze the cream onto the curved surface of the spatula.

I only loved the original mille crepe. The other food wasn't that nice to shout about, just normal. Ordered strawberry milkshake but it was practically tasteless and it tasted much better when I ask them to add more strawberry and milk.

Singapore [Day 3]

Back to post on my final day in Singapore.

It was the last day for me in Singapore for me as I had classes the next day. Woke up at 8am as the Checkers Inn provided us breakfast materials but we have to cook it ourselves. It's fun :D Took us some time to get the electric cooker started before we can cook the eggs. Healthy breakfast indeed ;)

After breakfast, we checked out as the rest of them is moving to another backpackers hotel down the street.

Walked over to The InnCrowd where some of them stayed at for their last day. It's another recommended place too :)

Headed over to Orchard Road for some shopping at Far East Plaza and ION. Bought a pair of shoes at $15 :D

Shopped at Sephora too! ♥

Now that Sephora is opened in Malaysia. I'm gonna hit the store soon!

Took Tiger Airways back to Msia at night. Left Singapore with a heavy heart. I miss Singapore~

Tony invited me as his date for the Johnnie Walker Black Circuit Lounge event at Le Marquee, Palace of the Golden Horses on 9th of April. Using Tony's Blackberry GPS, we got lost a little but arrived safely. The theme was classic black or chic gold for the outfits. Black isn't exactly my colour but had a piece or two in my wardrobe so I wore a dress with the combination of both :)

Singapore [Day 2]

Okay, so now on my 2nd day in Singapore. Most pics are arranged in collage form because there will be too many pictures! You can view the individual shots from my Face book.

Woke up at 10am and had dim sum for breakfast in Geylang. Then, off we go to Little India as we're moving to another hotel! We wanted to stay at a backpacking hotel called The Inn Crowd but it was fully booked, so we walked to the next street and settled for Checkers Inn which is something like a boutique backpackers hotel. Super awesome!

Check out the lobby area :) They have really interesting stuff hanging on the ceiling. It costs about 30SGD per night. It's a really cosy place!

The good thing about Checkers Inn is that they have seperate dorms for male and female. If you are with a bunch of friends, get the mix dorm which can fit up to 10 person :)

As the name goes, the concept is also very clinic/hospital like where you have the operation lights, wheelchairs etc. Too bad the table with the wheelchair was packed, it'd be hell lotsa fun :P

Singapore [Day 1]

Been so busy with Uni lately that I've no time to update my blog. Traveled to Singapore with a bunch of friends during early March as they were having their band showcase there. Was hired by my friend's band, Once Upon A Time There Was A Sausage Named Bob to be their photographer during their performances. It was a 3 days 2 nights stay, a short one for me because I had classes on weekdays. The rest stayed back longer.

If I'm not mistaken, the last time I've traveled to Singapore is when I was 12 for my final year school trip. Can't remember much but Singapore has definitely changed a lot. Got to explore the other side of Singapore as the last trip was at Sentosa, but this time we stayed in the town area. This would be my third time in Singapore.

4th March 2011

Headed to the airport with Shogo via KL Sentral in the afternoon. Our flight was a 3pm and the rest my friends were already in Singapore a day earlier. I had class on the previous day and on the flight day itself, bummer.

AirAsia. The flight was surprisingly fast. It was just buckle seat, emergency briefing, filling in the embarkation forms and next thing you know you're already in Singapore!

Headed to Geylang where the hotel was located. Met up with the rest and then we had early dinner.

After getting ready, all of us took the cab and headed to Esplanade in the evening. The stage was located at The Waterfront where all are bands performing are from KL.

The event started at 7.30pm. Had some time to spare as we reached ahead of schedule, so I went around taking pictures.

After a long day, I was scheduled to meet up with 2 Singaporean bloggers which I've gotten to know them from Innit.

Was excited to meet them and they came over to Esplanade after their work n stuff to meet me there as the rest of my friends were heading to party at The Butter Factory. Shortly after, we decided to head to Thomson Road for a yamcha session but the place they chose was closing already. So we headed off to Roti Prata House in Thomson as well.

Had a great chat with them and they're really friendly n fun people :)
Thank you Darran for sending me back to my hotel even though u don't know the location. Really appreciate it :) Too bad my schedule in Singapore was tight and theirs was equally busy as well so we couldn't hang out more. When I saw the trailer for Sucker Punch, I wasn't expecting much from it. A bunch of hot girls with kick ass scenes?

Honestly, after the movie I had no words to describe this show. The cinematography style is very Sin City or 300 like esp with the colour tones. Basically the story is about her and the friends trying to escape and gain freedom...girl power stuff. Guys would love the shows because there is HOT CHICKS. duh! When Babydoll dances, she'll go to her fantasy world where the scenes are very surreal like in a 3D game. Those fantasy battle scenes are missions they go on to get the items to help them escape.

I rate this 5/10.

Because I was half confused and the storyline was meh...

Thanks to Churp Churp, I won tickets to watch the premiere screening of Mars Needs Moms on Wednesday! It's actually my first time winning movie tickets from Churp Churp / Nuffnang so I was pretty excited :)

We had to surrender all our gadgets since it's a premiere. Was kinda worried that the phone will go missing but they are all professional people :)

We watched the movie in 3D which honestly wasn't much of a 3D movie because most parts are still sitting on the 2D direction. The 3D glasses made the setting darker so I spend most of my time squinting my eyes trying to make out the surroundings of the show. Subtitles were missing so we didn't understand what the Martians were communication in the beginning of the show, or is that the purpose...I don't know.

Other than complaints, this movie also a light hearted and funny show which you should watch! Best to watch it in 2D imo. The 3D fad which is going on in Hollywood now sometimes isn't worth the extra money you're paying for the ticket.

I love Ki and Gribble. So cute!

Of course, there are many other hilarious scenes which I shall not spoil it for you :)

Overall, I rate this movie 7/10!

Crocs Spring/Summer 2011 Collection Launch @ 1 Utama

Thanks to Crocs Malaysia, I was invited to their Spring/Summer 2011 'Light on Your Feet' collection launch on 19th February which features the new, ultra-lightweight and fashionable unisex sneakers.

While waiting for the launch to start, the Dance Dance Revolution machine was among kids favourites to win some prizes.

Heart shaped Crocs pillow and keychains were given out to the DDR participants.

Crocs displayed their new 'Light on Your Feet' collection and preview of three upcoming collections for Spring/Summer 2011 which are 'Duet', 'Candy' and ' Crocstone'.

The launch started with an cheerful and energetic introduction from emcee Liang.

In conjunction with the launch, 'Crocs Light on Your Feet Dance-off' was held and featured 10 of the most popular street dance crews in Malaysia such as Wakaka Crew, Giler Battle Crew, Famous Crew, Votion Force and Katoon Network.

All the dance crews gave their best during the competition with their slick moves, adrenaline pumping stunts and creativity! They were also wearing shoes from Crocs 'Light on Your Feet' collection during their performances. It really proved how flexible and comfortable those Crocs are!

Interactive activities with the audience entertained the crowd and they also got to win some prizes!
Pond and Genee won a pair of Crocs :)

CNY is over and I haven't blogged about so many things during CNY. Been lazy :P

This is a delayed post and a short recap just to share with everyone :)

Kudos to Xing for organizing the Lou Sang session with us inniters on 28th of Jan! About 30+ of us attended and we filled about 4 tables in Sri Melaka.

I was in the first table among those who arrived in Sri Melaka and we ordered our meal as we were starving!

Looking through their menu, I couldn't decide what to order as everything looked so yummy!

I was selected as one of the few bloggers to guest review Natio Clay and Plant Face Mask Purifier, courtesy of Sasa.

Natio is an Australian beauty brand which was founded in 1993. In Latin, Natio means 'creation', 'birth', 'birthplace' and also the ancient name for the Goddess of Nature. It symbolises the pure and natural, plant-based origins of Natio's range.

It's my first time using clay mask and I used to remember when I was little, my mom put on this muddish, almost black clay mask and it had this really unpleasant smell. But for Natio, I was quite surprised that the smell was light, earthy and had a natural scent from the plants used to make the clay mask! The beige white texture of the clay mask is creamy and easy to apply on :D

Natio Clay & Plant Face Mask Purifier is suitable for all skin types. I concentrated on my T-Zone as I have combination skin which are prone to breakouts. After cleansing the face, apply the clay mask and wait for about 10 to 15 minutes. I love that the clay mask dries pretty fast when applied on and I felt a tingling and tightening sensation.

It is recommended to wash the face with lukewarm water, then followed up with toner and moisturizer. After using Natio for the first time, I was satisfied with the results as my skin appeared smoother and refreshed. My pores at the T-Zone have always been a problem but it has appeared to be smaller after a couple of time using Natio's Clay & Plant Face Mask Purifier.

I'm glad that my skin is gradually improving after using Natio's Clay & Plant Face Mask Purifier. Although it has not solved the breakouts on my chin area, but I'm glad that it has been slowly improving.

My verdict: Natio's Clay & Plant Face Mask Purifier is a definite MUST try! I love the subtle texture and the effectiveness of this product. The redness on my T-Zone is decreasing and I hope it would be better after using it more often. Recommended usage about 1 to 2 times a week.

Yummy food in Ipoh

Headed back to Ipoh to spring clean the house 2 weeks back for the upcoming CNY.

The first stop was lunch at a restaurant in Ipoh Garden if I'm not mistaken for Lei Cha.

My favourite soya bean shop in Ipoh. During the holidays, it can be pack with cars and people queuing up as Funny Mountain has a drive through concept but you can get faster service if you queue up at the stall instead :)

Another popular destination in Ipoh, Lou Wong which serves ipoh sar hor fun, bean sprouts and chicken. The curry mee is yummy too :D

Walked around the streets after dinner and spotted a nice lantern. Too bad it had to be pre ordered for a week, so we bought another one.

Had dim sum for breakfast the next morning at Ming Court :)

Skinlite Cooling Cucumber Pads

While shopping in Sasa, I was intrigued by this Skinlite Cooling Cucumber Pads. At first glance, it looked really artificial and I had my doubts whether to purchase it or not. The information at the back said that it's pre-moistened with real cucumber and other soothing ingredients. Since it's retailing at only RM4.90, I decided to give it a try as my eye bags is a never ending problem.

In a packet of 10 sheets, I was surprised that these cucumber pads are light scented as I expected it to be 'artificial' and slightly oversaturated with the scents. But it turned out to be alright, it's just light and practically scent-free when the sheets are taken out individually.

After removing your makeup and cleansing your face, place the pads on top of your eyes for about 10 to 15 minutes. According to the direction, you can also place it on your other face area. I haven't tried on the face areas except the eyes. If you like a cooling effect, place the pads in the refrigerator before using :)

I have been using these cucumber pads for a few weeks and it has helped me reduce the puffiness on my eye bags temporarily. It's really refreshing as well! I usually apply the cucumber pads before I go to sleep and take it off after 15 min. After that, I'll just lightly massage the eye area with the remaining moisture and sleep through the night. The next day, the puffiness will be reduced :D

Meeting Glow @ Pavilion KL

Few weeks back, Glow came down to KL and a few of us blogger met up with her at Pavilion. Was late due to the slow KTM but managed to meet most of the bloggers like Shah and Doris who left early due to work.

CNY Decorations @ Midvalley & The Gardens

Spent the weekend at the mall with the parents. It's been a while since I went out with them so we went off to Midvalley in the evening after spring cleaning a portion of the house for this coming CNY. There is still so much to do! How I wish I can be dismissed for housework because I always end up getting down with flu after cleaning the house. Dusts, always the culprit. pfft!

Decorations at the Centre Court of Midvalley is really outstanding! There's this little stalls around selling little trinkets and CNY cookies too. They even had drum percussions but I didn't manage to catch it.

Third Week

Sorry for the lack of updates! I have so many things to blog about but I was busy for the past few weeks, working and going out with friends. New Year is passing by really fast with CNY coming less than a month away and I'll be starting uni really soon!

Worked for Clinique last week as they were promoting their new formula for their toner and we were just giving away free samples and also collecting datas. Was so tired after work and I practically died on my bed...

Bought more stuff from Sasa which I might do a review on next time!

Da Sa Rang @ SS15, Subang Jaya

The cousin, Regina came over last weekend and we decided catch up over dinner. Went over to SS15 for Korean food at Da Sa Rang which is located above McD.

It was a pretty quite day at Subang and the roads were smooth as it was the first day of 2011. I guess everyone headed off to KL.

Ordered and patiently waited for our food which took some time to prepare.

Luckily for the complimentary side dishes that Korean restaurants always serve before meal, we got to fill in our stomach a little instead of waiting for our food with an empty, growling stomach :P

Kimchi Jeong Gol, RM40. It's kimchi soup with toufu, meat, dukbokki (rice cake), glass noodles and veggies. The pot was pretty huge, good enough for 3 person. Me and my cousin ordered this with bap (rice) and it proved to be to much for us. In the end, we're so stuffed! Should've go without the bap but the Kimchi Jeong Gol is awesome :D

Samgyeopsal, RM27. I love korean restaurants because you always get to fry/bbq the beef yourself, but I was pretty disappointed this time because they cooked this in the kitchen for us :(

I guess if you order more meat or come with more people then they'll let you use the stove? With 2 person, perhaps they'll save more electricity and gas by cooking the beef in the kitchen. And you'll have to order at least 2 sets of samgyeopsal to get the lettuce to wrap it with. It you order just one, they won't provide you the lettuce. Err..no thanks, I'll just enjoy my kimchi jeon gol and samgyeopsal. pfft.

Da Sa Rang's Kimchi Jeon Gol is highly recommended. The service is pretty alright, not to say very good either because it's hard to call a waiter when you need them but they are friendly. The environment at Da Sa Rang is pretty cosy. At the end of your meal, they will serve a complimentary serving of watermelon (1 person 1 slice) and a sweet drink which I'm not sure what it's called but it was pretty refreshing for after meals :)

Bought more macaroons from LeVain the other day and I swear it's so heavenly! The triple chocolate is yummy as usual. There's only one left when I bought :( Tried some other new flavours that wasn't available from my last visit like the Fraise (Strawberry) and Framboise (Raspberry) macaroon. Love the raspberry macaroon as it has raspberry jam in it ;d

2010 has been one hell of a year of filled with hardships, self discovery and fun times with close ones.

Went for internship from Jan to March. Glad to have my met my awesome mentor Michelle and teammate Anne, not forgetting colleagues from Go Comm. Internship has formed me into a more determined person and also taught me to set my priorities straight which I also have other areas that I need to improve on. Definitely glad for the experience and working opportunity.

Celebrating the best friend's birthday at Twenty One, Changkat Bukit Bintang.

May onwards was a hectic period because it was my final semester and we had to do various events.

Promotion for KITA The Musical with flash mobs and contests.

Final project for Event Management and CSR class. All the hard work and sweat poured in and we made it!

A visit the zoo with the classmates to write an article for Feature Writing class.

After all the stressed up times, we found it hard to believe that we're already at the end of our course. It's funny how some of us only got closer towards the end of the semester but it's a great thing. Missing those who're in the UK studying now.

One of my disappointments is that I wasn't able to further my studies at Hertfordshire for my degree but I believe that a door closed will open more opportunities for me in 2011. I'll be doing my degree in Taylor's Lakeside Campus and hope it'll be a great one :)

Though I enjoyed my sashimi, the standard of food had obviously dropped from the last time I visited Jogoya :( After the main course we had desserts! I think I ate about 5 scoops of ice cream? :P Haagen Dazs and New Zealand Natural...om nom nom (^.^)V

Rock The World 10 - Indie Stage@ Bukit Jalil Stadium Carpark

Besides the Malaysia vs Indonesia football match that happened on 26th Dec, Rock The World 10 was also held at the Bukit Jalil Stadium Carpark! It was my first time at RTW and the organizers, Tune Talk had seperated the stages to Main Stage and Indie Stage.

There were more than 20 bands performing that day!

Was mostly at the Indie Stage to help out my friends from Once Upon A Time Time There Was A Sausage Named Bob take care of their booth selling T-Shirts and giving away free stickers.

Buy a BOB shirt! :D

Their performance was up at 12.30pm. Too bad that most of the crowd was still stuck outside at the registration counter but nevertheless they put up a great performance :)

Due to unforeseen circumstances, a road block back to Bukit Jalil after lunch and a wrong turn ended me up in a car ride on the way to Putrajaya and a RM5 toll. Malaysian road signs are SO misleading! Took us about an hour to come back :( Missed out on performances from Car Crash Hearts, An Honest Mistake and Prema Yin.

Lab The Rat. First time hearing their songs and I loved it!

Left after Rosevelt's performance to avoid the jam from the football match happening later at night. The traffic is just crazy! And the way people parked their car on the side of the roads...pure madness! Not double parking but triple or quadruple!

It was a fun and tiring day after being there for about 8 hours! Some of them got sunburned. lol.

Advisable to share it between 2 person as it's really creamy! You'll get full very fast if you drink the soup alone. Save more space in your tummy for more pastries :D

Though the price is pretty expensive, I bought 9 pieces back home. Total was about RM27...breaks my heart to spend on such small bites but it was worth it!

I love the Fruit De La Passion & Mango macaroon. Others were equally tasty! It taste SO much better than the ones sold at Whisk Cafe and bigger too! nomz <3

Mille Crepe @ Food Foundry, Section 17 PJ

I've never eaten mille crepe before until my friend had it as a birthday cake. I also heard about Food Foundry from my mom. Can you believe it? My mom is more happening than me. LOL! So off I go to explore this place which is located at Happy Mansion, PJ,

Food Foundry is actually pretty hidden as it's located behind the apartment blocks after passing by Sekolah Kebangsaan Sri Damai. It's not like those usual shop which faces the main road and is more noticeable. Set foot in Food Foundry and the interior is pretty nice but I felt slightly out of place because of the environment which is surrounded by apartments.

Strawberry Mille Crepe, RM9
Love the soft texture and it's sweet and sour taste. Yummy!

Chocolate Mille Crepe, RM9

I didn't really fancy this one as the chocolate was overwhelming but it seems like a popular choice among other customers. I guess I didn't like the chocolate they used for the mille crepe.

I didn't get to try the Vanilla Mille Crepe as I was stuffed from lunch earlier. Food Foundry also offers food like pasta and steaks. The price on the menu looks pretty alright. Though I feel it's pricey but I guess I'll go back there to try out more of their stuff soon :)
