Ginvera Marvel White Launch

For the first time ever, I attended a beauty product launch with a wedding theme by Ginvera! It was held in Fullhouse Cheras. Was pretty curious before attending this event since the theme itself is pretty unique for a product launch. Decorations were lovely and it really feels like I was attending an actual wedding ceremony :D

Was there quite early, so waited a while for the event to start while catching up with friends who attended the event and also played some games!

Post its launch in 2002, Ginvera Green tea skincare range has been well accepted by the consumers particularly its hero product - Zero Blackheads Marvel Gel. Ginvera's skincare products has remained relevant to its consumers because of its efficacy and unique product offerings.

The main users of the brand as mostly younger female consumers who usually seek multiple benefits from their skincare range in convenient and trendy format. With this, Ginvera decided to revamp its brand to Ginvera Marvel White, where a range of skincare products combining the benefits of Green Tea and the ingredient - Shiso, to offer flawlessly fair skin!

The lovely wedding ceremony started with Ms. Green Tea making her grand entrance while Mr. Shiso waited at the aisle. Proceeding with the ring exchange and taking their vows, the ceremony is complete where Mr. Shiso and Ms. Green Tea is finally married! 

As blackhead is a common problem in our age group, we constantly desire for a product that not only creates fair skin but a perfect flawless skin without blackheads, marks or pimples. [Review] Maybelline White Superfresh Long Lasting UV Cake Powder

Maybelline White Superfresh Long Lasting UV Cake Powder was launched in June 2014. It comes in four shades and the one I received for review was in 02 Nude Beige. With SPF 34 PA+++, the White Super Fresh Cake Powder helps to protect the skin from harmful UV rays. Due to the hot & humid weather in Malaysia, sweat and sebum always cause our skin to look oily most of the time. Maybelline White Superfresh gives the skin a matte finish, enabling us to look fresh all day!

I love the clean and white sleek design of this product where the embossed logo on it makes it extra chic! It is compact, easy to carry around and the cake powder is refillable too! I have combination skin where my T-zone tends to get oily very easily. However, after applying the White Superfresh Cake Powder, I noticed that my skin doesn't get oily as fast. I only the White Superfresh Cake Powder onto my skin as I do not want to put on too much layers like foundation, etc which will result in clogged pores due to my sensitive skin. So, a layer or two of the White Superfresh Cake Powder is enough to for my face where it lightly conceal and evens out my skin tone as well. I find that this product does not clog my pores :D

With the White Superfresh Cake Powder, I don't need to touch up as often as it keeps my skin matte all day! If I am in the office under air conditioner, I do not need to touch up at all. But if I am out in the sun, I just need to touch up once and it keeps my skin looking smooth and fresh for the rest of the day. Sometimes when I apply BB cream onto my skin, I will use it onto my skin using my powder brush for a matte finish.

L'Oreal Paris White Perfect Total 10 Tea Party

Recently, I attended L'Oreal's Paris Tea Party at Chill*X, One Utama where they launched their latest product - White Perfect Total 10 Day Cream Moisturizer. At the entrance, there was a photobooth for us to take pictures and submit our entries on our special traits and perfect moments! 

A complete set of White Perfect range was displayed at the event area.

They also had mini booth activities like a make over counter for us to explore while waiting for the event to start. There were many products on display from L'Oreal Paris such as their eyeliner, lipsticks and so on! It was a beauty blogger's dream come true being able to play around with so many products. We also had a chance to DIY our own charm bracelet!

Neutrogena Deep Hydrating Mask Review & Giveaway

With the hot weather and haze that is currently still ongoing, our skin has the tendency to get oily more often due to the air pollution that causes clogged pores. It also affect the skin's ability to regulate moisture level.

At times like this, I feel pretty stressed because I get breakouts more often and my skin looks dull as well. I rely mostly on masks to keep my skin moisturized and healthy but sometimes, you will just go through a period of bad skin :(

Best to use the mask after cleansing your face by unfolding the sheet and then place accordingly to your face shape. I think I have mentioned this previously in my other blog post that I love to place the mask in the refrigerator first as the cold mask feels really good on the skin especially during such a hot weather :)

Make sure that the mask fits nicely onto the skin. If there are some air trapped on certain ends or some areas that are not covered, just press lightly onto the mask with your fingertips to set it in place. After 15 minutes, remove the mask and massage the remaining fluid into the skin. I would also lightly pat my skin so that the fluids are absorbed more easily.

Although the masks doesn't fit perfectly onto my skin, I still love the intensive moisturization that it gives. It leaves my skin well hydrated and soft, which is a great for prepping the skin before putting on makeup.

Montagne Jeunesse Face Mask Review + Giveaway

Best to use after cleansing your face with warm water. Apply the mask and leave to dry for 20 minutes :)

It is easy to peel off once it is fully dried. I had it on for about 20 minutes and loved the skin tightening feeling while the masque dries. Of course there will be some tiny bits here and there which can be solved by just washing if off with water. Follow up with your normal skincare routine after :)

My skin definitely felt smoother after the mask!


Creamy Coconut Mud Mask

Unlike the normal sheet mask, mud based mask will reach deep down into pores to draw out impurities and excess sebum before it becomes a problem! The consistency of this mask is really thick due to natural ingredients like Coconut Water and Shea Butter to soothe and moisturize skin. It is suitable for all skin types!

You'll just need to apply a thin layer on a clean face and relax for 20 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water after that! Things might get a little messy when washing off due to the mask creamy texture where you need to wash it off more thoroughly. The coconut smell is especially strong in this one. I felt that my face was smelling like coconut for days after applying the mask but I love it! Best thing about this mask is that you get to use it up to 2 - 3 times due to the sachet size! My skin felt really moisturized after using this mask!

Besides that they have also given me an extra mask to review, which is the Green Tea Peel Off Face Masque! :D This masque deep cleanses the pores, removes impurities and peel to reveal a healthier skin! It also contains ingredients like:

[May Beauty Haul] Estee Lauder Staff Sale

I am going to start off this post with some serious complaining because it is inevitable. This year, I managed to head over to the Estee Lauder Staff Sale again and the usual routine with my friends is to head over there early to queue. We arrived about 3am was pretty shocked to see people standing up queueing in the wee hours of the morning because in the previous locations, we were allowed to sit down and wait while the doors open. However, this year in Berjaya Times Square Hotel it was the other way round. Those who came to queue early would know because the security and managers kept emphasizing that it is their hotel rule that we are not allowed to sit or eat at the vicinity. Luckily we were allowed to drink water if not there will be some serious problem there. Some came to queue around midnight were forced to stand for about 5 hours!!! It felt like a detention camp!

I understand that hotels have their own rules but like what my friend said as a hotel, instead of making people feel at eased or being hospitable to customers, the situation was hostile and everyone was pretty much irritated and angry at the hotel management. And the thing is that they kept saying that they are 'different' from other hotels where their standards are different, which doesn't help at all because based on their standards that day in terms of hospitality, it was a major disaster. Finally about 5am when EL management discussed with the hotel to let us sit and wait, we were lead to the foyer area next to the hall which was the original area where everyone was supposed to head to. I don't even understand why in the first place that the hotel decided to cordon the entire entrance to the hall and make us stand at the lift area. I hope that EL does not hold their sales at Berjaya ever again. 

Now back to the main purpose of the blog post, which was to share with you my haul from the Estee Lauder Staff Sale! After hours of waiting, we finally get to enter the hall at 8AM after the VIPs who went in an hour earlier. This years haul was mostly skin care where I got Clinique for myself and Estee Lauder products for my mom as I still have the lipsticks and other makeup that I bought from last year which I haven't used up yet. Plus, this year's item were more pricey for the perfume and selection wise, there wasn't much items that caught my interest.

5. Clinique Moisture Surge

Another gem found as it wasn't on sale last time as well. Really love this moisture surge hydrating gel as it keeps my skin well moisturized. Even though you are supposed to use this after moisturizer, I felt that it suits my skin better when I use it alone instead of slapping on too many stuff that can clog my pores. I accidentally dropped my previous bottle and wasted the product....so sad ._. But now, I'm glad to have it back!

6. Clinique Even Better Concealer

Since my Sephora concealer palette is diminishing, decided to purchase this sine it was only RM40! :D

Headed back to Ipoh with my parents after the sale and literally KO-ed in the car!

Mary Quant Beauty Workshop

Mary Quant is a British fashion designer and a fashion icon. Hailed as the originator of mini skirt, she expand her brand further, where during the 1960s, she launched Mary Quant Cosmetics. Her products are encased in black, white, and silver packaging embellished with her signature daisy. The daisy actually symbolizes the freedom of women brought about by Mary Quant, who continues creating concepts of beauty by defying stereotypes. Her think-out-of-the-box approach and outrageous fashion sense and designs cause a revolution, not only in her own country, but also worldwide.

Thanks to Manoah, I got to attend their makeup workshop last weekend! It was held in their office in Damansara Uptown. Was so excited to see many makeup products laid out on the table when I arrived! Everything looks so pretty and colourful :)

We were introduced to Ms. Takaki, makeup artist from Mary Quant Cosmetics. A model was also present for her to demonstrate the application of the products.

Starting of with a cleansed face, you will have to prep your skin with toner, moisturizer and emulsion to keep your skin moisturized and soft.

After that, apply makeup base to ensure your makeup stays longer!

Mary Quant has two version of makeup base, which is Oil Zap and Moisture Zap. Oil Zap is a type of makeup base that provides a dry, matte finish by controlling shine produced by excess sebum. It gives the skin a fine and soft texture by covering up the pores. Moisture Zap on the other hand, provides moisture and enhances blood circulation where the skin looks naturally smooth and firm. 

Both makeup based can be used on the face, but not at the same area. The Oil Zap can be used at the T-Zone as it is usually more oily compared to the other areas of the face. The Moisture Zap will be used on the dryer area of the face like the cheeks. This actually gives a healthy and dewy finish!

The eye area is also important as it has a tendency to be dry. While providing moisture, Mary Quant's Eye Gloss also covers dark circles and dullness, while making the eye colours come out brightly as it provides a light beige coverage. It can be used on the eye lids to cover any discolouration.

The Smoo Make Power Foundation is next, where the highly moisturizing powder foundation controls the lights and creates the ideal skin colour, texture and three-dimensional appearance. The foundation gently covers visible pores and dull skin colour, creating radiant, firm, and smooth skin.

There are 8 shades of the powder foundation and I got Ms. Takaki to help me in selected my foundation colour. Since my skin is quite fair, it was between Y-01 and Y-10. I selected Y-10 as it gave a more natural finish, whereas Y-01 gives a brighter and more shimmery finish.

Next up is applying concealer to cover up pimples or dark circles that was not covered by the foundation.

Set the base with Mary Quant Loose Face Powder to make your skin appear brighter and fine textured. The velvety corpuscular powder makes pores and fine lines less noticeable. It prevents makeup from running and provides a long lasting beautiful finish.

After completing the base makeup, it is time to play with colours! Mary Quant Eye Opener is a powder eye shadow that is pigmented and gives a velvety and smooth finish. We used the pink and purple palette during the workshop, and of course they have other colour palettes as well. The white/ivory eyeshadow was use as a base colour. The rest of the purple and pinks were used at both inner and outer corner of the eyes to create depth and different looks by colour mixing.

The key to achieving a smooth colour and transition is blending! It is to prevent any harsh lines from the eyeshadow, so blend away!

Give your eyes a more defined shape by using the Mary Quant Out Line. It works as a eye and lip pencil that enables greater freedom to play with colours! This liner is waterproof and impervious to tear and perspiration that gives a beautiful finish that lasts for a long time.

Look at all the lovely colours from Mary Quant Action Lashings! There are seven colours in total and the unique thing about this mascara is the dual sided Coil and Chip Brush. It features a short raised bristle on one side, where the Oil Gel Formula gives the mascara its elasticity, creating the sharp and spectaularly long lashes. I choose the rose coloured one! :)

Since thick eyebrows is the trend nowadays, draw your brows with Mary Quant Brow Line! If you already have thick eyebrows, just fill up the gaps :) When drawn on, this eyebrow pencil glides on the skin smoothly and it gives a soft and natural finish.

Before applying lipstick, it's best to moisturize your lips with Mary Quant Lip Bouncer so that your lipstick will be able to glide on smoothly!

Mary Quant Moisture Rich Lipstick comes in 20 shades (in Malaysia)! Chose my favourite bright red lipstick to complete the look :) Since I am going for a soft finish, I used a lip brush so that the red won't turn out too strong, but instead gives a lovely and soft red colour.
