Recently, I attended the Secret Affair party hosted by Clothes Buffet Malaysia as part of their Season 3 preview which will be held in early 2016! Talking about secret affair, the location was at Elementum (Co-Venue Sponsor), which was a mysterious place to find! After being on the phone and following the signs, I manage to locate the party area :)

The BONS Cafe @ Damansara Jaya
I have not been cafe hopping much lately as you would have notice on my Instagram. As I was craving for some caffeine and food, the BONS Cafe contacted me and asked if I would love to go over for a review. Of course, I immediately said yes :)

Simpli Dry @ Jalan Batai
How much time do you spend to get ready in the morning or for an event? In order to look great, us ladies spend a considerable amount of time making sure everything from head to toe is on point. Sometimes, I even skip certain steps especially when I am pressed for time and just head off in a jiffy.
Simpli Dry is a one-stop beauty bar that ensures every woman can look as gorgeous as they should always be. Simpli Dry provides professional wash and blow, as well as manicure and pedicure services.
Thanks to the Simpli Dry team who invited me over for a review, I got to try out their services! Upon stepping into the beauty bar, I was greeted with a lovely sight of spaciousness and natural sunlight. I love places that have natural sunlight because it feels really comfortable and welcoming.
Pedicure area
As a young working adult, most of the time I do not have time to make sure my hair is styled nicely. Simpli Dry opens as early as 7.30am which is great for people who are going off for an interview, meetings or important occasions. Simpli Dry is the place to be for you to look sleek and beautiful quickly by receiving quality treatments from their skilled professionals.
Getting my hair shampooed
Simpli Dry's services are modestly priced. For wash & blow, it is RM38 and RM28 for blow dry only. If you want the stylist to perform any additional hair updo's, there will be an additional RM15 cost to it. Of course, it also depends on the complexity of the style you want and the stylist will advise accordingly.
Most of the time, there is no need for you to make an appointment for the usual wash & blow unless you have additional requests for updo's and nail art. Usually it takes maximum 45 minutes for one person, depending on hair length to get you looking gorgeous in no time! Simpli Dry has a team of professionals to make sure you requests are met :)
My hair is washed and ready to be blow dried!
The hair product used is mainly from Italy
They also provide manicure and pediacure services. For basic manicure, it is RM35 and RM45 for basic pedicure. They also provide nail art which ranges at a different price depending on the pattern you want.
Kids area is also available should you bring your kids over
Chose to do a simpli manicure
It was definitely a lovely visit to Simpli Dry and I walked out feeling fabulous! Simpli Dry has definitely made my life more convenient with their professional services. I can check my emails and do some work while waiting for my hair to be blow dried and walk out looking great in no time!

Weekend Getaway @ Kuala Kubu Bharu
Long time no see! Seems like ages that I was missing from the blogging world. I have been out and about.. often posting on Instagram instead of blogging *guilty*
Last weekend, I went over to KKB for my friends birthday getaway. Having only about 3 hours of sleep, I managed to follow Waze instructions to Sungai Chiling, the meetup point. However, we got lost for a moment as my friend mentioned to drive further down Sungai Chiling entrance until we see her standing at the roadside. The thing is we did not see her and we drove uphill for about 5km and then decide to go back down at Sungai Chiling entrance and contacted her as there is limit phone line.
In the end, she wasn't even at the location yet. LOL. We waited for her dad to guide us as he was in KKB town buying some supplies.
Located in a private property, we parked at the roadside and loaded our stuff into the truck. First time in my life crossing a river at the back of the truck, which is a very bump but exciting ride.
Welcome to The Sticks! It is an eco resort that is still under renovation. Personally I love these kind of places as it is disconnected from the city life and also mobile networks. Two days of peace and also being away from the haze. Surprisingly Digi & Celcom has connectivity here compared to other telcos. Sharmayne and myself were the earliest bunch to reach. So, we explored around the resort.
A small trail leading to some of the Tendok (tent + pondok).
Tendoks (tent + pondok) in the jungle are near the river where you can hear the sound of the river flowing. So peaceful especially during the night. There are 2 layers to the tent where one is the mosquito net and another one is the entire cover of the tent.
Some of the rooms do not have bathroom attached. Outdoor toilet is the way to go!
Our home for the weekend!
Placed all our stuff into the room while waiting for Amelia to arrive as well.

Luckily our room had private bathroom attached with a lovely open air rooftop view.

Random flowers growing on the grounds
The distance from our room to the common area was a walk away and the view is great!
DIY table and chairs. Those wooden chairs are heavy I kid you not!
Selfie while waiting for Rachelle and her friends to arrive. One of her friend baked her a really pretty cake decorated with edible flowers.
We had our own hamburger station. Everyone helped out in preparation and cooking of the lunch.

Group photo after the cake has been cut. Look at the rainbow layers!
After lunch, Rachelle organized a treasure hunt activity but I couldn't participate last minute due to work emergency which I had to settle. Went to the river to chill after that. It was drizzling on and off all day. Some of Rachelle's friend went over to Sungai Chiling to hike up to the waterfall area instead.
The river was really chilly and clear! Stayed there for about an hour or two, and then went back to the room for a nap as the fatigue was already hitting me due to the lack of sleep. Woke up in the evening for BBQ dinner. We all had dinner in the dark as there is no electric supply at The Sticks at the moment. Everyone used flashlights or mobile phones to navigate around the area.
It was raining heavily after dinner so we stayed at the common area chatting and playing games.
The next morning, we had Antipodean rip off style breakfast.
Group photo before heading out to the river again!
Chilled at the river until noon before packing up and leaving the place. We stopped by at KKB town for lunch before heading back to KL. It was an amazing two days getaway being able to properly rest and chill over the weekend. I will definitely love to come back to this place again.

Introducing Miacare - Bringing confidence and joy into life.
Last week, I was invited to attend the meet & greet session of Miacare at Cafe Barbera in Bangsar. Miacare is wholly owned by BenQ Group. BenQ is usually associated with technology and electronic, but over the recent years they have expanded their line of business and Miacare is under the BenQ Materials Corp. that focuses on healthcare products.
"mia", in Italian means my, and care
means caring and guardian, hence miacare gives meaning to the caring and being a guardian to the

Models posing with MiaCare Acne Patch. We had to guess from a certain distance to see which model is wearing the MiaCare Acne Patch. Of course being the short-sighted me, I did not guess correctly.
Ms Joyce, introducing BenQ & Miacare to us. Darren, an optometrist who explained to us on the importance of maintaining a healthy eyes and also benefits of using the correct contact lenses.
Besides that, dermatologist Dr. Kartini shared with us on the causes of acne and how to treat it. Pimples have been the all-time
problem of adolescent, teenager, and even adults. And though pimples are only
temporary, the mere sight of them scattered all over your face is really
unpleasant. Acne
isn’t just skin deep. Deep cystic eruptions, the ACNE are actually signs of
inflammation under the skin. ACNE are develop when:
- Hormones fluctuate
- Wrong inventory of certain food we eat
- Alcohol intake
- Irregular bowel movement
- Under extreme stress

[Review] Sudio TVÅ Earphones
Sudio - an earphone brand originating from Sweden. The name Sudio came about when one of the founders spotted musician Phil Collins in New York having problems with his headphone. Similar to the frustration most headphone users are having, the founder couldn't offer any better solution at that moment to Phil and could only utter out his sentiments which were: "trust me I know the feeling". The name sudio is an homage to Phil Collins song Sussudio.
I was very fortunate to receive a pair of TVÅ earphones from Sudio which was delivered to me all the way from Sweden! Sudio has two products which is Klang, specially for Apple products and the TVÅ which is suitable for all smartphones & tablets. Check out what's inside the box!
Packaged nicely in a box, it comes with an owner's manual, 1 year warranty card and a quick start guide. The boxes are designed in a minimal yet elegant way.
Inside the packaging also comes with a genuine leather carrying case which is a plus point as I get to keep my earphones neatly into the casing without any worry of damaging the earphones. Embossed with Sudio's logo, the gold button definitely adds sophistication to the casing.
Not forgetting the TVÅ earphones which is packed nicely into the box and comes with a metal clip which is very useful to clip the wire onto your outfit if you don't want the wires to swing around when you are on the move. Most importantly, you can also reach out to your earphones easily when it is clipped onto the outfit.
TVÅ is Swedish for number "two" which represents the synergy between bass and treble. The earphones allow air to enter the ear channel for those who prefer the spatial experience. It comes in four colours which is brown, orange, black and white. I went with the white as it is the colour that easily compliments the outfit no matter what colour or pattern. Also, I fell in love with the gold details on the earphones. Its timeless elegant design is suitable for every day and every event.
Sudio earphones are mostly handmade for most part of the production process as they value the importance of craftmanship.
What's different about the TVÅ is that the plug is L-shaped, which is designed to fit perfectly into the pocket. Compared to those vertical/straight up plugs that most of my earphones have, the L-shaped plug does not poke me whenever I sit down.
It also has an extremely light weight construction, making the earphones easy and comfortable to wear. The earphones, despite it being light weight, drives a powerful 14.2mm dynamic driver which is perfectly tuned for music lovers.
This is the one button that serves as a multipurpose remote for you to:
- Play & pause music (1 click)
- Answer & reject phone call (1 click - but when rejecting a phone call, you'll need to hold onto the button longer)
- Skip to next music (2 clicks)
- Skip to previous music (3 clicks)
Behind the button is also a mic for you to speak through during a phone call :)
I've been using the earphones for over a month now and I am still in love with it! The quality of the sound is really good where the bass and treble is well balanced and I could go on listening to music for hours and be absorbed into my own little world. I brought it along with me during my Taiwan trip and used it to listen to some music before I go to sleep. The clarity of the sound helps me soak up all the lovely music and relax further.
TVÅ retails at RM149 for is really value for money if you ask me. The design & quality is great and it's fashionable too! I also don't have to worry about the cords tangling and bring it where ever I go as TVÅ is made of flat anti-tangle cord.
