Sucker Punch Premiere Screening @ 1 Utama

When I saw the trailer for Sucker Punch, I wasn't expecting much from it. A bunch of hot girls with kick ass scenes?

Thanks to Tony for inviting and also Nuffnang :)

The tickets given out were pretty cool! It's a 6 paged fold up with Sucker Punch graphics on it :)

A bunch of us had dinner at Zanmai before the movie
Henry, Carmen, Kian Fai, Elwyn, Me, Tony, Jayren, Baoly, Xing and Bernard.

Group pic during ticket collection. Not everyone was there as others were still eating :)

Honestly, after the movie I had no words to describe this show. The cinematography style is very Sin City or 300 like esp with the colour tones. Basically the story is about her and the friends trying to escape and gain freedom...girl power stuff. Guys would love the shows because there is HOT CHICKS. duh! When Babydoll dances, she'll go to her fantasy world where the scenes are very surreal like in a 3D game. Those fantasy battle scenes are missions they go on to get the items to help them escape.

I rate this 5/10.
Because I was half confused and the storyline was meh...

Mars Needs Moms Premiere Screening @ E@Curve

Thanks to Churp Churp, I won tickets to watch the premiere screening of Mars Needs Moms on Wednesday! It's actually my first time winning movie tickets from Churp Churp / Nuffnang so I was pretty excited :)

Invited Amelia along since we're all pretty stressed out from Uni assignments!

Meet up with the rest of the bloggers after collecting tickets.
(Back) Shii Teck, Elwyn, Shereen, Henry, Jun Fook, Jessy, Tikkoss, Chloe, Isaac and the guy whom I forgot his name (sorry!)
(Front) Cayenne, Jackie, Amelia, Me, Eli, Qi Tying, Carmen and Jayren

We had to surrender all our gadgets since it's a premiere. Was kinda worried that the phone will go missing but they are all professional people :)
We watched the movie in 3D which honestly wasn't much of a 3D movie because most parts are still sitting on the 2D direction. The 3D glasses made the setting darker so I spend most of my time squinting my eyes trying to make out the surroundings of the show. Subtitles were missing so we didn't understand what the Martians were communication in the beginning of the show, or is that the purpose...I don't know.

Other than complaints, this movie also a light hearted and funny show which you should watch! Best to watch it in 2D imo. The 3D fad which is going on in Hollywood now sometimes isn't worth the extra money you're paying for the ticket.

I love Ki and Gribble. So cute!
Of course, there are many other hilarious scenes which I shall not spoil it for you :)

Overall, I rate this movie 7/10!

TRON: Legacy

Went to watch TRON: Legacy premiere screening yesterday as I won tickets from KLue!
The premiere was at 1 Utama and it took me and my mom almost half an hour to find a parking spot. cis!

I didn't know that TRON: Legacy is actually a sequel. I should go and watch the first one soon!
Sam Flynn has been haunted by the mysterious disappearance of his father Kevin Flynn, who is the former CEO of ENCOM. His father has been missing for 20 years.

One night, an old friend of Kevin, Alan Bradley asks Sam to investigate a mysterious page which he got from Kevin originating from the abandoned Flynn's Arcade.

Sam searched the arcade and did not find any clues. When he was about to leave, he saw the TRON game machine and remembered something that his father told him when he was young.

He found his father's work base underground and got transported into the digital world.

Beau Garett as Gem. She looks hot! haha..

The gladiator style disc game.

At first, I thought 'wow..Sam's father didn't aged at all!' until he said 'I'm not your father, Sam. But I'm happy to see you Sam,' eh? He's actually Clu, a digital clone of Kevin to help him create a perfect world. The antogonist xD

The fighting scenes were pretty intense and exhilarating. Love the effects :D

The real Kevin Flynn! He reminds me of the Jedi Master with the Zen thing going on though. lol...

Olivia Wilde as Quorra. Her eyes are huge! Which makes her makeup looks kinda scary on her.

Castor/Zuse. The most animated character in the movie. Seriously, everyone's dialogues were really boring or monotonous in the movie. Zuse cracked me up with his antics.

Guess who? It's Daft Punk! They are the DJ's in the club scene. And they are also the people behind the soundtrack/film score for TRON: Legacy. woots!

Check out one of their songs in the video above :)

All the transportation in TRON: Legacy are really sleek and advanced! Can I have one?

Kevin Flynn's house. Really awesome! Love the interior.

It seems that 3D movies are 'in' right now. But I watched it in 2D version. Love the effects and cinematography but the storyline is pretty boring.

I rate this show 6/10

Narnia - The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Been anticipating this movie since the trailer was out and I've finally gotten the chance to watch the show! Thanks to JC for the free ticket :) Watched it in 2D.

The movie started off with the Pevensie siblings, Edmund and Lucy staying with their cousin Eustace Scrubb. 3 of them were drawn into Narnia through a painting of a ship at the sea and was brought onto the Dawn Treader ship. Together, they embark on a journey with King Caspian, although Eustace was less enthusiastic in the beginning.

Eustace's character annoyed me at the beginning. I must say, the Dawn Treader ship is truly magnificent. Out they were to sail across the seas to look for the seven lost Lords of Narnia to get the seven magical swords to defeat evil.
Lucy and the Dufflepuds. This was a pretty hilarious scene.

Lucy made snow from a spell from The Book of Incantations.

 The blue star guiding them.

Eustace and Reepicheep.

The Dawn Treader sailed until the end of the world.

Edmund, Lucy and Eustace returns to their own world.

Personally I found this movie pretty disappointing. The previous Narnia movies were better though The Dawn Treader has better visuals. The pace of the movie was pretty draggy and there wasn't much to anticipate in the movie. The trailer was more intense and adventurous but the movie proved otherwise. I found it ironic when the sea serpent was killed by lighting and falls into the sea. err...me and my group and friends literally went 'wtf?!' during that scene.

I rate 5/10 for this movie.
No doubt, Ben Barnes makes a great eye candy for the movie :P

Lizzie had her ballet performance last Sat & Sun. Went with a bunch of them on Sunday. The performance started at 5pm. Never been to a ballet performance before and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed it :) not to mention amazed too...

Everyone on stage was just so graceful :D The first session started out with the children. Most of them were from the first grade/amateur level. They were really cute :)

Headed off to Williams for dinner after we dropped Melia & Rachelle back. Dinner was delish ;d Went to TGV@ Tropicana City to buy tickets for Public Enemies but mana tau, they only sell tickets for the past movies. No new movies available yet =\ So in the end we went back to Sunway. Bought the 11.30pm show for 9 of us. Chilled at Wong Kok while waiting for time to pass.

Ratings: 7/10
The movie is a good one. Although there's no particular plot to it, Johnny Depp's acting just blows us away once again :D
