Playboy's "Play Together Party" @ The Rabbit Hole

The Rabbit Hole is a dine, drink and dance establishment inspired by Alice in Wonderland & Narnia Chronicles. It embodies six unique concept environments within a 3-storey pre-colonial building located in Changkat, Bukit Bintang.


Playboy bunnies were also spotted at The Rabbit Hole as it is the official launch of Playboy Condoms in Malaysia!

The infamous bunnies got the crowd excited with a tantalising dance number whilst donning killer heels, fishnet stockings and their signature floppy ears.

The official launch started of with the presentation of the Playboy Condoms variants that are available in Malaysia. Malaysia’s very own celebrity Playboy Bunny, Felixia Yeap made a special guest appearance with her fellow bunnies and hot hunks to showcase the Playboy Condoms products. Playboy Condoms are exclusively distributed in Malaysia by RC Intact (M) Sdn Bhd and can be found at Watsons stores nationwide.

Besides that, let's take a look at the six unique sections at The Rabbit Hole!

Level 1


Translate Art Bar is a section of The Rabbit Hole where the concept and feel of it is being transported to the back alley. This concept is done in collaboration with Tiger Beer as part of its global Tiger Translate Programme.



Bamboo Forest mainly consist of al-fresco dining and a stage for live music, comedy shows and stage performances. Wild bamboos and lush trees surrounding the area provides an immediate escape into the nature and away from the hustle bustle of the city.

Towards the end of the room, behind lies two concealed doors, where:

The right door opens to Arthur's Lounge which is filled with rich exotic leather couches, chandeliers, fire place & even a secret room accessible through the bookshelf.

Green Room is on the left, where it reveals a setting of a modern dance club. Guests get to dance their hearts out to the latest beats of EDM served exclusively by Heineken.

Level 2 is a private club for members only where the decoration will include Roman art, architecture and culture. The rooftop bar, named Santorini features a rooftop swimming pool with a floating DJ deck. However, these 2 upper levels were not accessible during the time of the event. Acme Bar & Coffee @ The Troika

Took my mom out for her birthday treat at Acme Bar & Coffee. Before that, I've already planned for a place in Bangsar. However, Acme Bar & Coffee popped into my head the night before as I remembered hearing some good reviews and along with some late night research, ABC it is! :) 

Using my ever faithful Waze GPS, I arrived at the location safely although I was one turning too early...but all turned out well :) It's near KLCC! The Troika's parking section was quite confusing so we took the stairs up to the concierge and asked for directions to Acme Bar & Coffee that was just around the block.

The enormous door was quite a hassle due to its weight. Struggled to open the door...no points for them because the waiters did not help :(

As usual, I am a sucker for good decor and atmosphere. Love the mixture of retro and modern setting. Chose the window seat so that I could enjoy the sunlight and also maximize the lighting for pictures of course ;P

Ice Lemon Tea, RM11 | Latte, RM15

B&W Sesame Tuna Medallion Salad, RM39

Tuna salad with romaine lettuce, hard boiled eggs and creamy garlic anchovies aioli dressing. Lettuce was quite plain due to the light dressing. The tuna on the other hand is coated with sesame seeds around it, which further enhances its taste :)

Grilled "Bacon" Wrapped Snails, RM25

Coco beans & parsley garlic sauce wrapped in duck bacon. The slightly crispy bacon accompanied by tender escargot. Yummy :D

Smoked Duck Breast Pasta, RM35

Spaghetti carbonara with smoked duck breast topped with parmesan. This was so-so. Salty is one word I would describe it. With both smoked duck and parmesan being salty, the combination was not that great. Perhaps they should cut down on the parmesan next time to balance out the saltiness.

Cakes galore!

Cempedak Cake, RM15
Sponge cake with cempedak cream and pistachio nuts. 

Was browsing through Foursquare for some recommendations and this cempedak cake stood out as a unique dessert to me. The reviews however, were mixed as some loved it and some said it tasted like puke. LOL *sorry didn't mean to disgust you* Ordered it anyway to try... Would say this cempedak cake is more of an acquired taste. On the first bite, it tasted weird but after a while my taste buds got used to it. Still...I didn't find it fantastic.

Overall, food here is alright. Liked two out of four dishes that I've tried :) They were renovating their outdoor  area when I was there that day...would be a nice place to chill especially at night with KLCC nearby and all.

Chinese New Year Decorations @ Pavilion

 

Headed to Pavilion this morning with my mom for CNY shopping and to also check out the CNY decorations! Coincidentally, Pavilion was launching the Majestic Dragon Festival and we got to catch the dragon and lion dance performances d(-_^)

What Women Want

 

Was invited to the Capital FM launch at Lot 10 last month. I couldn't make it for the official launch in the evening due to work so I dropped by in the morning to check out their activities. They were preparing the final set up and rehearsals for the launch when I got there. Freebies were given out to people too. Have been listening to Capital FM for a few times and I quite like their content and some of their old school music :)

Pop up stores and banners were placed outside to promote the radio station. There was free airbrush tattoo, hair makeover by Snips, free makeup by Sasa and many more! Had my free makeup done at Sasa and tried on some fake lashes which felt like my lids weigh a ton...haha. Guessed I'm not used to this.. I prefer just my concealer and eyeliner. Heh ヾ(^ ^ゞ

Comic Fiesta 2011

Attended the 2nd day of Comic Fiesta at KLCC last week with a few of my friends. It was my first time attending the event and I was pretty amazed :D

There were many activities on that day such as song performances, merchandise and art works!
How I wish I can draw well but I can't :(

The highlight of comic fiesta are definitely the cosplayers!

There are too many anime characters which I don't recognize. My knowledge of anime is like a size of a pea T_T

The kimono is gorgeous!
I love all the outfit details and the time and effort these cosplayers take for their role.

This little girl is so adorable! Everyone kept snapping pictures of her :)

Power Rangers and Kamen Rider?

Comic Fiesta was definitely an eye opening experience for me :)
