Ante Kitchen & Bar @ Publika

Saw lots of good review regarding Ante Kitchen & Bar on blogs while searching for places to eat at Publika. Was deciding between S.Wine and Ante for my mom's birthday dinner. In the end, we chose Ante because they have more food choices. Would try S.Wine one day too! Saw tons of nice food there :D

Anyway, back to Ante. The place is cosy and nice :)

Corona Extra, RM21 | Passionfruit Mojito, RM12

I think the waiter said that the other beers were out of stock or the beer tap was spoiled. Only the Corona Extra was available. The passionfruit mojito was refreshing, very flavourful too. But my personal preference will be the mojito from Ole-Ole Bali. haha...

Smoked Duck Salad, RM23
The salad was alright. I've tasted better smoked duck.

Angry Piglets, RM24
One of the dishes that I enjoyed. Crispy bacon and spicy sausages :D

Signature Chorizo & Bacon, RM27
This pizza was definitely everyone's favourite dish of the night. Filled with bacon, pork, tomato puree and loads of cheese :D

The Hogger Pork Ribs, RM75
The meat was succulent, but I was relatively disappointed by the sauce. Even my parents agreed that Tony Roma's sauce was better. And the fries was meh...

With the amount of good reviews online, I was left disappointed by the food at Ante Kitchen & Bar that night. Only the pizza made an impression on our taste buds. Waiters were friendly though. Maybe I'll try their famous Char-grilled Pork Steak next time! Seems like a really unique dish :)

MAC Archie's Girls Ronnie Red Lipstick

Stumbled across the latest collection of MAC cosmetics while I was in the mall earlier this month. The huge display counter in the center of the mall piqued my curiosity, so me and my friend went to check it out. I'm glad I did, because I was quite an Archie's comic fan during high school :) And a part of me was immediately sold to the concept already xD

What caught my eye from the Archie's Girls collection was the Veronica matte lipstick in Ronnie Red (RM75). Tested it at the MAC counter and I fell in love with it! My friend in Aussie said most of the Archie's Girls collection were sold out over there. Plus it's a limited edition, so I went back to the mall and bought the lipstick a couple of days later :)

Ronnie Red is a mixture of cherry/hot pink and red which makes it a very vibrant and unique colour. I love the fact that it is outstanding and attention grabbing! The colour lasts very long too and it does stain your lips.

Before this, I don't consider myself a lipstick fan as I tend to stick to lipbalm and gloss. Red lipstick in particular, have never been on my list because it screams bright and loud. But this year, I've been wanting to get my hands on a red lipstick for reasons unknown. Is it due to age, that I'm ready to move on to the next phase of life? xD I've been looking for a red lipstick for some time. Nothing held my interest while I was on my search and I'm glad that I found this amazing lipstick in a shade that I love!

However, this matte lipstick made my lips dry after a while. So I'll have to constantly apply Vasaline every couple of hours so that my lips don't get chapped. That is the only thing that I didn't like, but I'll overlook this matter :) If you have pink undertones like me, it is best to apply foundation or bb cream on your face because the Ronnie Red lipstick tends to make the redness on your face more visible.

Future Music Festival Asia 2013

This year, Future Music Festival Asia is back with 2 whole days of fun and music! 2 days of partying, I felt like a zombie after. Even after Day 1, I felt reluctant to move from my bed but awesome bands like Temper Trap managed to keep my energy up!

Due to the jam, it took me 3 hours to reach Sepang on FMFA Day 1. Missed out on Cosmic Gate's set T_T
The road to the parking was confusing and congested. Parked towards the end and luckily the free bus was there on time to send us to the main entrance if not, we'll be walking forever! Arrived in time for Armin and the crowd was crazy!

Stayed for Aly & Fila's set for half an hour before making a move as we wanted to catch the last bus to our car. However, none was seen. So we had to walk for an hour to the car. Not that I mind, the cloud was clear and stars were lovely, but my friend's leg was suffering from the long walk.

FMFA Day 2
Reached in time for Temper Trap! Dougy Mandagi's voice was pure awesome! Closed my eyes a few times just to let the music sink in :D Even better was the sunset while Temper Trap was performing.

Lovely sunset :)

Went for Rita Ora but the sound system was pretty bad  D: Sound went off twice and didn't really do justice to her voice.

Out of focus picture, but I love the feeling it gives out. Maybe it's just me :P Haha...

Jumping along to Psy's Gangnam Style. It was his last performance for Gangnam Style before releasing his new single in April.

Went to catch Angger Dimas too :)

Listening to They Will Kill Us All while waiting for Bloc Party

Fireworks at 12AM

The set up for Bloc Party was so long D: Almost an hour. So we went to catch Prodigy instead.
That's all for my adventure in FMFA 2013! :)

Wondermama @ Bangsar Village 1

Met up with my friends at Bangsar for lunch 2 weeks ago. Decided to check out Wondermama since I've heard great reviews about it :) As soon as I stepped into the restaurant, I immediately fell in love with the deco :D

Watermelon Fizz Popsicle and Asam Boi with 7Up!
I love sour stuff, so asam boi and 7Up was a great combo for a refreshing drink especially with the crazy hot weather...

 Ais Kacang
Friend said it was so-so. I still prefer ais kacang from the roadside xD Somehow, something always feel missing from the ones in most restaurants. It's like they never get it right. But if any of you come across awesome ice kacang, do let me know because I would love to try ;)

 Black Spider Fried Rice!
Scary name...but it's actually soft shell crab xD

Kimchi Sliced Beef Burger
This caught my eye while I was browsing through the menu. Looked pretty interesting so I decided to try it. Plus, I love kimchi :) Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. The sauce was salty as well as the beef. Presentation of the food was creative but wasn't practical to me. The width of the plate was pretty small, so I had a hard time cutting it to pieces and hoping that it would not fall out. Though I took out the salad cup?...it didn't help much.

I had a great time at Wondermama even though the food I had didn't amaze me. It's the company that counts. Plus Wondermama gave a homey and friendly feeling, so I would be back next time to check out more of their dishes.

I was attracted by the cakes on display! Too bad I was stuffed. Shall try their cakes during my next trip for tea time maybe? :) For those who have been to Wondermama, do let me know what's good there :)
